Romana LIPEŻ (Lviv 1917- Krakow 2003) - Polish School - "View of Wavel Castle in Krakow" Oil on panel signed and dated 1976 lower right Dimensions: 40x50 cms Romana Lipez began her artistic training in 1935 with Professor Henryk Uziembùo and Professor Alfred Terlecki at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. During the war, she studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Krakow, then studied again at the Academy of Fine Arts with Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa and Eugeniusz Eibisch. As a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, Lipez has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the Polish Association of Artists and Designers, BWA Gallery and the National Museum in Warsaw. His works have also been presented in solo exhibitions at the House of Artists (Krakow 1953), the Biprostal Gallery (Krakow 1972), Sacro-Art (Hotel Pollera 1997) and Kunst-Kessel (1997). His paintings are part of the permanent collection of the Polish Ministry of Arts and various Polish and international private collections. Romana Lipez's work illustrates the development of 20th century Polish art. From motives of academic salon painting, of classical beauty, to sentimental post-impressionist landscapes and city views, of fiery colorism.
