PAUL RAMOND (Toulouse 1860– 1945) “Presumed view of Pic Carlit in the Pyrénées-Orientales” Oil on canvas signed lower left Dimensions: 46 x 54.5 cm Paul Ramond is a painter born in Toulouse who exhibited many times at the Salon des Artistes Méridionaux, the Salon de l’Union Artistique, also in Toulouse, the Salon d’Automne at the Palais des Champs-Élysées and many others. He joined the Toulouse Association of Toulouse residents in 1931, sponsored by his friend Paul Mesplé, also a painter. Following him, Edouard Bouillière also joined the association. The Musée des Augustins in Toulouse has two works by Paul Ramond in its inventory. Paul Ramond often depicted mountain landscapes in the Pyrenees, and has achieved several views of Pic Carlit, the highest summit in the Pyrénées-Orientales.
