Capable of working in a classical manner, he was also open to free chromatic interpretations, instilling some Cubist or Fauvist influences, then drawing renewed strength from Expressionism, without ever abandoning a traditional formal approach; his works draw from this an exceptional evocative power. » The Basque Museum in Bayonne, the museums of Pau, Rouen, Lyon, Nantes, and Reims possess a work by Deletang.
