Important Banana Palm floor lamp circa 1970 by sculptor Henri Fernandez (born 1946) for Maison HONORE in Paris with a metallic structure in gilded and silvered brass depicting an exotic tree embellished with three lights hidden in the foliage. It rests on a black lacquered melamine quadrangular pedestal. Good electrical condition. Dimensions: 1 m 80 high X 50 cm wide. Henri Fernandez is a French artist who has made sculpture furniture in gilded brass, with insertions of semi-precious stone, for zoomorphic and vegetal forms, such as low tables in octopus, in insects, giant horses in welded metal, fountain fish, lamps and metal tables with inclusions of stones. Each piece is unique, and bears witness to a very fine workmanship and craftsmanship. He worked with Jacques Duval Brasseur and we recognize a similar technique and an even more prolific imagination.
