The Pyramid collection — designed by Harald Nielsen from 1927 — is one of the most celebrated Art Déco creations of Georg Jensen. Nielsen drew inspiration from the treasures of Tutankhamun's tomb, discovered in 1922, to develop this rigorous geometric vocabulary with its immediately recognisable stepped profile. Pieces from the Pyramid collection are held in the collections of the Designmuseum Danmark in Copenhagen, MoMA in New York and Koldinghus in Denmark.
