Boxwood statuette of the Virgin, 17th century
This Virgin shows a slightly swaying stance. The dress is held by a rope belt on the waist, and shapes v pleats on the front. A long veil tied by a flower buckle lets the hair half-uncovered, and falls in pleats to the bottom of the dress. Head was originally wearing a crown.
Good condition, a few lacks of wood and cracks (see pictures).
