Large bronze keyhole plate, 16th century
Two dolphins with crossed tails surround the keyhole and a cherub head, and support at the top a big crown ornamented with fleur-de-lys. This model is quoted in "Les anciens maîtres serruriers et leurs meilleurs travaux" (T.II, plate XCIII) by Henry-René d’Allemagne (see picture).
