"Trade Showcase In Solid Mahogany - Early Twentieth"
Rare solid mahogany commercial furniture composed of two elements. The wall unit featuring a showcase has two doors with molded frames on the inside. Each is fitted with a large square-section window. These doors slide on their rails and close with an original so-called hook lock, with ring key in working order and brass mesh entry. Inside, we discover a background made up of a large silver mirror and a 1 cm thick glass shelf. This shelf has notches allowing it to be adjustable on racks. This high element is crowned with a molded cornice and a flat top. The lower part of this commercial piece of furniture has two framed doors in the same spirit as the upper part. These doors open with hinges and have a large brown Bakelite panel in the center. Each has a brass handle, called falling, with a rosette. At the opening, we discover a separation and 4 adjustable shelves on racks, making this piece of furniture very functional by the independence of each part. A corbin's beak molding emphasizes the separation of the upper unit and the lower unit, and the whole rests on a plinth. This showcase has an ideal size and an ingenious design allowing optimal use of storage.
