A beautiful Louis XVI clock in white marble, gilt bronze, and pendulum by the Mougin clockworks. This clock has an oblong white marble base with projecting edges, adorned on the front with bronze foliage. It rests on four small, chased bronze feet shaped like tops. Two cylindrical white marble columns, embellished with collars at their base, are decorated with garlands of flowers and topped with a leafy pine cone. The dial is made of enameled porcelain painted with garlands of flowers. The pendulum depicts a face surrounded by sunbeams. Above the dial is a beautiful urn decorated with garlands and surmounted by a bronze pine cone. Adolphe Mougin, born in 1835, was a clockmaker who founded a factory in Héricourt in 1870.
