Splendid 16th century travel trunk from Lombardy-Veneto region, more precisely in the regions between Mantua and Verona.
The wooden chest is fully lined with peach-colored fabric and covered with finely worked leather with animal and plant motifs, the leather part is studded all around the interior and exterior. All the elements of this trunk are period, but the interior is lined with old paper that must be removed and replaced with beautiful fabrics.
