Large Louis XIV period mail box. Late 17th / Early 18th. Black leather and silver bronze case. It has a handle on the top. Squares reinforce the whole at each angle and below. It opens with a cover and a drawer on the front. The cover closes with hinges and a key lock. He discovers a storage space decorated with an original wallpaper. The upper part opens onto a compartment for documents. This section is covered with a red tinted sheepskin. The drawer has storage spaces for the inkwell, pen and hourglass.
