This beautiful, monolithic marble statue on an onyx base captures all the charm of a bygone era and the finesse of this Florentine artist. Note the beauty of the face, the upturned straw hat (the texture is superbly rendered), and the quality of the craftsmanship. The dress features green veining, and the corset has a slight sepia-colored patina. Finally, note the proud and elegant posture of this young woman, looking confidently ahead.
Large size: 50 cm, in very good condition, signed on the base, circa 1900.
