Tall Vase In Three Colors, "sailboats On The Bay Of Venice" By Daum, In Perfect Condition, Galle Era, 1900
Artist: Daum
A beautiful "three-color" goblet featuring a design of sailboats silhouetted against the light over the Bay of Venice by Daum.
This goblet, which is entirely and richly etched, is a particularly striking piece with well-balanced colors.
No fewer than seven sailboats are visible against the light in the foreground, while a city with numerous domes can be glimpsed in the background—most likely Venice.
Note the beautiful balance of these three colors; there is often too much green or yellow on this type of piece, but here, the piece is well-balanced and the result is superb.
16 cm high, 18 cm wide, signed on the design, in perfect condition, circa 1910
A lovely piece with vibrant colors and a design that really stands out—very poetic.
