Art Deco Chandelier By Schneider, Layered And Threaded, Era Daum Galle, 1920
Artist: Charles Schneider
A beautiful and rare Art Deco threaded chandelier by Schneider.
Connoisseurs will instantly recognize Schneider’s work in this glass bowl, featuring a very distinctive powdery blue threaded finish. Note the orange rim, a technique known as “superimposition,” also well known from the master glassmaker’s work; see the last photos. This combination of techniques is rare and creates a beautiful glow.
The bowl is mounted on a beautiful wrought-iron frame, produced for Schneider’s chandeliers (referenced) in a very Art Deco style.
Very good condition, 41 cm in diameter, circa 1920–1925.
A very beautiful Art Deco chandelier—original, luminous, and rare.
