Complete Eggshell Porcelain Coffee Set In Satsuma, Meji Period, Circa 1900
Nice and fine coffee set in Satsuma hard porcelain.
Beautiful quality for this coffee set from the Meji period with a rich and fine decoration on all the pieces. A decoration of characters, scenes of life with very refined floral ornamentation. The porcelain is very fine, so you can see through it (known as "eggshell").
It consists of 8 cups, saucers and cake plates, a large plate, a coffee pot, a small milk jug and a sugar bowl.
Each piece is signed on the underside.
Very good condition, I could notice two or three small shocks of 1 millimetre (which I could have camouflaged easily with a stroke of pencil but I leave the choice to you).
