A chest made of fir wood, with a flat lid attached to the body by two long wrought-iron strap hinges. The sides are fitted with wrought-iron handles to facilitate transport of the piece.
The front is divided vertically by flat pilaster elements, which define three rectangular sections. Inside each section is a panel painted in an orange-red color, bordered by a dark outline. In the side panels, the corners are embellished with quarter-circle motifs.
The base of the cabinet features a shaped recessed section, on which the date of manufacture, “1793,” is inscribed in red. In the center of the front is the keyhole, made of sheet iron cut into the shape of a shield, along with its original key and lock. The interior of the cabinet features, on the left side, the traditional storage compartment closed by a small hinged lid.
