Art Deco Crocodile Lamp – Antique Smoking Lamp, Curiosity Cabinet, Circa 1930, Tobacco.
A unique decorative lamp crafted from an antique 1930s cigarette lighter, featuring a crocodile made of bronze-patina alloy, resting on a rectangular blackened wooden base.
Originally designed to house an electric heating element for lighting cigarettes, this object has been transformed into a decorative lamp while retaining its original character.
The crocodile features a beautifully stylized sculpture, with meticulous detailing on the scales, legs, and head; its open mouth now houses a decorative LED bulb with a gold-plated cap.
Its antique patina, in shades of greenish bronze, highlights the animal’s contours and details.
The electrical wiring has been completely refurbished in our workshop. The lamp is in perfect working order, ready to be set up and used.
Dimensions:
Length: 24 cm
Width: 10 cm
Height with bulb: 18 cm
In good overall condition, with its original patina preserved and new electrical wiring.
A unique piece that blends Art Deco style with the world of smoking accessories and cabinets of curiosities. It will naturally find its place on a desk, a console table, or among a collection of antique objects.
