Art Deco lamp in patinated metal, signed Jacques Limousin – circa 1920–1930
Superb Art Deco period table lamp, made of metal with a brown patina, depicting an elegant kneeling female figure, holding with both hands a bowl generously filled with fruit.
The sculpture rests on a quadrangular base , richly adorned with floral and geometric motifs typical of the Art Deco period. The four sides are adorned with pearlescent plaques, enhanced by a design of flowers, foliage, and stylized motifs.
The piece as a whole displays exceptional decorative quality, featuring a nuanced antique patina and numerous finely crafted details. The light, diffused through the openwork and pearlescent sections of the base as well as through the upper bowl, creates a particularly warm glow.
The “Jacques Limousin” signature is visible on the base.
