The neoclassical-inspired bronze base incorporates tried-and-tested decorative codes that ensure balance and elegance throughout.

The articulated system is a real highlight:

• moving up and down by smooth pump, with no knob manipulation,
• ratchet mechanism for precise height adjustment,

A reliable and comfortable technical package, typical of quality lamps from the early 20th century.

The glassware, signed D'Aurys, comes from the Wilhelm Kralik & Sohn factory, an important glassworks in Bohemia (now the Czech Republic), whose productions were widely distributed in Europe in the first third of the 20th century.

The acid-cleared plant decoration, with its subtle shades blending opal and violet, is clearly in the vein of l'École de Nancy.
It naturally evokes the work of Gallé, Daum or Legras, both in the treatment of the motif and in the quality of the material and the way the light reveals the reliefs - though it cannot be attributed to him.

The glassware is in very good condition, flawless, with a beautiful presence when illuminated.
