Silver Kovch With Painted Enamel On Filigree. 20th Artel, Russia, Moscow, 1908–1917
A delicate silver kovch, crafted in the workshops of Moscow’s 20th artel during the heyday of Russian Art Nouveau. The elegant, elongated shape, featuring a slender spout and a scroll-shaped handle, creates a harmonious whole. The body is adorned with polychrome enamel applied over fine filigree, forming a refined floral design of buds and blooming flowers. The entirely gilded interior enhances the object’s decorative and ceremonial character.
