Louise Héger (1839–1933) was a Belgian painter specializing in landscapes. A student of Paul Lauters, she began painting en plein air at an early age and frequented the artistic circles associated with Tervueren. In 1883, she joined Alfred Stevens’s women’s studio in Paris, which helped her painting evolve toward a freer and more luminous style. She exhibited notably at the Paris Salon and painted numerous landscapes, woodlands, dunes, and waterscapes. Her work occupies an interesting place in the evolution of Belgian landscape painting in the late 19th century.
