Indo-isfahan Rug, Wool And Silk, 320 X 240 Cm
Indo-Isfahan Carpet – Kork wool on a silk foundation.
A superb Indo-Isfahan carpet, crafted in the spirit of prestigious Persian Isfahan rugs and featuring high-quality Kork wool.
Finer and more delicate than the previous model, this piece is entirely hand-knotted using Kork wool on a silk foundation, lending it remarkable fineness and a particularly soft, silky feel. The fringes are also made of silk.
Its rich, sophisticated design centers on a large floral medallion in sumptuous shades of red, burgundy, powder pink, ivory, and beige, accented with touches of blue and brown. The field is filled with an abundance of delicately drawn scrolls, flowers, foliage, and arabesques, arranged in a classic Persian composition.
A series of fine floral borders frames the design, featuring a striking deep-red main border richly adorned with botanical motifs. The intricate pattern, combined with the fine weave and the luster provided by the silk, gives this carpet a particularly elegant and refined presence.
As you can see in the photos, the pile’s appearance shifts depending on the viewing angle.
Size : 320 x 240 cm / Fringes: 6 cm on each side.
Condition : Good overall condition. There are a few small white spots of wool visible in the photographs. The fringes are slightly disheveled and show minor soiling.
