A very beautiful and imposing 17th-century sideboard made of solid walnut, featuring particularly decorative design elements and a stunning antique patina.

The lower section features two side-mounted drawers, complete with their pull rings, and two large, richly molded doors. The panels are notable for their bold geometric diamond-point motif, typical of 17th-century furniture. The lower panels feature a geometric relief design that lends great depth to the front.

The open upper section is supported by two elegant baluster-turned posts. The back is also adorned with molded and carved panels featuring a radiating design. The whole is crowned by a substantial molded cornice accented by a denticle frieze.

Also noteworthy are the beautiful antique hardware, the dowels, the keyholes, and the pull rings, all of which contribute fully to the character of this sideboard.

The walnut features a superb warm color and a deep patina, with the normal marks and irregularities of a piece of furniture that has spanned several centuries. The interior offers several levels of storage.
