Thanks to the invaluable book on shields from the Barbier-Mueller Collection, I was able to trace the origin of this charming shield.
While I’m not much of a fan of weapons, I do enjoy the shields I buyregularly; their incredible variety makes them a superb theme forcollecting and magnificent decorative objects…
