Louis XV-style Carved Walnut Mirror Cabinet – 19th Century
A carved walnut mirrored wardrobe in the Louis XV style, dating from the 19th century and forming part of the same bedroom suite as the matching bed offered separately.
The front is arranged around a large central mirrored door, surmounted by a second shaped mirror and flanked by two narrow side compartments.
The carved decoration echoes that of the bed, with rocaille motifs, flowers and foliage, and a cherub set within a rocaille cartouche at the top. The side doors are decorated with asymmetrical carved compositions.
The two side compartments are fitted with shelves, providing storage on either side of the central mirror. The wardrobe rests on cabriole legs.
The wardrobe and the matching bed, made in the same wood and sharing the same carved decoration, are offered separately but may be acquired together to reunite the original bedroom suite.
