Regence-style Candlesticks In Gilded Bronze
A pair of Regency-style candlesticks with beveled sides that extend from the base to the cup.
The candlesticks are richly decorated with stylized leaves, arabesques, antique-style vases, and masks. Portraits of figures in profile adorn the shaft, in the style of cameos. A beautiful alternation of matte-chiseled and smooth, glossy sections. 19th century, circa 1850. Dimensions: L: 12 cm, D: 12 cm, H: 24 cm. In good overall condition, with a few stains and scuffs.
