19th-century Carved Marble Wall-mounted Fountain

A very beautiful wall-mounted fountain carved from stone and marble, adorned in the center with an elegant circular mascaron in high relief depicting the head of Medusa (Gorgon).

Executed with great finesse.
The architectural structure consists of a wide carved pediment decorated with volutes and geometric fluting, framed by straight pilaster columns.

The lower section features a large, fluted stone basin resting on a curved console decorated with volutes.
The center of the upper panel features a relief medallion adorned with a mask of Medusa, her hair depicted as intertwined serpents.
This mascaron (made of a patinated metal alloy or terracotta) features a superb, nuanced patina in shades of ochre-brown, contrasting harmoniously with the stone’s light, natural hue.
This high-quality decorative ensemble, ideal for adorning a garden wall, an interior courtyard, or a veranda, brings a classic presence and a much-sought-after timeless elegance. Period: 20th century (in the style of the 17th/18th centuries)Materials: Carved stone, gray marble elements, composite central mascaron (metal alloy or artistic terracotta)Condition: In good overall condition, with a superb patina of age; blends beautifully into a green setting.
