Single-flower vase with “Vines and Grape Clusters” design by Émile Gallé (1846–1904), Nancy. Single-flower vase bearing Gallé’s signature in cursive cameo relief, dating from the mature Art Nouveau period, circa 1900–1904, one of Gallé’s most sought-after periods. The “Vines and Grapes” design, featuring peltate leaves and coiled tendrils, is an iconic motif created around 1900–1902 and produced until the atelier closed in the 1910s. The quality of the dégagement, the hammered amber-yellow background, and the intense two-tone green are typical of pre-1904 production. The cameo glass is blown and features three layers; it is acid-etched and finely ground on a wheel. Satin-finished amber/citrine-yellow base, with an overlay of acid green on a darker green. Smooth interior. Flat-ground collar. "De cabinet" / mignon-sized vase. Perfect condition. Collar intact, with no chips or fêlures. Well-defined décor, saturated colors.
