Silkscreen poster by Wifredo Lam (1902–1982). The poster draws on the Cuban painter’s characteristic Surrealist-Cubist visual language, filled with hybrid creatures and signatures integrated into the design (“Wifredo,” “W. Lam”). The exhibition also commemorated his posthumous work (“de regreso al caribe,” held in 1992 in San Juan, Puerto Rico). The name Jesús Cardona, (“Serigrafia Jesus Cardona”) indicates that this refers to the Puerto Rican artist, printmaker, and master screen printer who produced the art print of this exhibition poster.
