20th-century Basque-Béarnese wood sculpture after a section of the Adoration of the Magi from St. Lazarus Cathedral, Autun. Facing the three Magi, the Virgin and Child, haloed and veiled, are depicted beneath an architectural canopy flanked by two crenellated columns pierced with windows. Jesus is shown receiving a vase-shaped gift from one of the kings. The sculptor used the capital as a starting point for his creation. Circa 1950
