19th-century Convent Artwork—religious Cutouts And Ex Votos

A beautiful example of cloister carvings, featuring a double scene:
In the upper half: the crucifixion of Jesus Christ overlooks the life of man, from his birth (a nativity scene to the left of the crucified Christ) to his death (a tombstone to his right).

In the lower half: below the ground of Golgotha, a shipwreck scene—a maritime ex-voto—featuring two sailboats in a storm.
The decoupage is accompanied by collages of plants, moss, and seashells. The piece is structurally sound and in very good condition.
Cardboard box backing and protective glass in front of the diorama.
Dated to the 19th century.
Overall dimensions: 25 x 21.5 cm.
