18th-century Gilded Wooden Mirror
A gilded wooden mirror with a cut-out design, dating from the 18th century and in the Louis XV style. It may also be a Venetian piece from that period. The back consists of a thick board. Note the reinforcement applied to the upper rear section, which was originally the most fragile part. A beautiful wrought-iron hook ensures a secure mounting. The glass is slightly pitted in places and has a few scratches.
