Lalique – “champs-élysées” Crystal Goblet With Gold Luster
A large “Champs-Élysées” glass from Lalique, in its clear crystal with gold luster version.
This famous model was designed in 1951 by Marc Lalique, son of René Lalique, who at that time was fully developing the use of crystal within the family business.
The bowl features a striking botanical design composed of large veined leaves, inspired by the rows of trees lining the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
The two large leaves unfold in a symmetrical and sculptural composition. The crystalwork combines deeply sculpted reliefs, transparent surfaces, and satin-finished areas, while the gold luster finish lends warm golden highlights to the entire piece.
The richness of the modeling and the significant variations in the crystal’s thickness create a multitude of light effects and give this bowl a particularly decorative presence.
