A superb Qashqai khorjin from Persia, woven and knotted using wool-on-wool techniques in the traditional style.

Khorjins are carrying bags once used by the nomadic peoples of Persia. This piece is unique in that it has retained its complete and fully functional closure system, a detail that has become rare on antique examples.

The front features a combination of woven and knotted velvet, while the back is entirely woven. The quality of the wool is remarkable: soft and almost silky to the touch.

The color palette, derived from plant-based dyes, combines deep shades of brown, madder red, and indigo blue, accented by ivory tones. The numerous fringes and peripheral fastenings fully contribute to the authentic and charming character of this bag.

In perfect condition.
All you need to do now is stuff it to transform it into a magnificent cushion, while preserving the character and authenticity of this ancient nomadic artifact.
