Large Chinese Export Porcelain Dish, Qianlong Period, Famille Rose, 18th Century
Qianlong Period (1736–1796): large Chinese export porcelain dish with a shaped rim, decorated in the « famille rose » palette with Meissen-style floral motifs. The border is highlighted with a gilt line over a reddish-brown ground.
The border is decorated with small, isolated and scattered floral bouquets, featuring tulips, small roses and forget-me-nots.
The central reserve features an asymmetrical bouquet composed of an anemone, a closed tulip and a purple flower.
