Large Two-part Walnut Sideboard In The 19th Century Italian Renaissance Style

Large two-part buffet in the italian renaissance style,19th century, in walnut wood, with Multi-color marble inlays in reserves. Comprising a recessed and projecting upper part with a pair of turned and gummed columns, eight drawers decorated with branches of leaves and fruit.

It has two central doors richly decorated with inlays and paintings, with geographer angels, terrestrial globes, trophies, medallions with the initials of the letters M and A, caryatids, garlands of flowers and voluptuous scrolls. The side sections are decorated with two glass doors forming display cases with shelves.

In its lower part, this beautiful sideboard has a projecting top. The central part also has a pair of turned columns and two framed doors richly decorated with intertwined volutes and branches of leaves adorned with fruit. Each of the two side doors bears the initials M and L, as well as volutes, laces and leaves decorated with fruit.

The cornice is molded with volutes and flowers. The feet are in the shape of turned bubbles.
The sides are composed of three reserves decorated with geometric medallions superimposed with branches of leaves and flowers.
