A blue-and-white porcelain tea cup and saucer set from the shipwreck discovered off the coast of Ca Mau (Vietnam).
This shipwreck was excavated by archaeologists in 1997, who dated it to around 1725.
Part of the cargo was sold by Sotheby’s in Amsterdam in 2007.
The design on this piece depicts a figure riding a water buffalo, whose hat is being blown away by the wind.
Saucer diameter: 13 cm. Total weight: 140 g.
In very good condition, with no cracks or chips.
