DAUM FRANCE – SET OF 12 CRYSTAL KNIFE HOLDERS – CIRCA 1960

A beautiful set of twelve crystal knife holders from the prestigious Daum company, presented in their original Daum – Cristal France case.

Produced around 1960, these knife rests perfectly illustrate Daum’s penchant for free-form designs and sculptural crystalwork during this period.

Each knife holder is rectangular in shape with slightly rounded ends and is crafted from cast crystal. The interior of the piece features a striking abstract and irregular relief design, as if trapped within the thickness of the crystal. This craftsmanship creates a succession of recesses and raised areas that lend depth and movement to the piece while maintaining smooth, luminous exterior surfaces.

The effect is particularly striking: depending on the viewing angle and the light, the interior design appears and disappears within the transparency of the crystal.

Each knife holder is signed “Daum France” on one end.

Complete set of twelve pieces, preserved in its elegant original case bearing the label “Daum – Cristal France.”
