An elegant and refined silver-plated serving warmer from the prestigious Adolphe Boulenger workshop, a leading Parisian silversmith’s workshop of the second half of the 19th century, renowned for the quality of its pieces intended for the tables of the bourgeoisie and aristocracy.

This remarkable piece is distinguished by its oval shape resting on four sturdy legs decorated with finely sculpted bull’s heads, ending in stylized hooves, which give the piece a particularly decorative presence. The body is adorned with elegantly crafted side handles, while the domed lid is richly engraved with foliage, lambrequins, and motifs inspired by the Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Gothic styles, reflecting the eclectic taste of the late 19th century.

The lid is opened by a delicate, ivory-colored knob made of natural material, adding an extra touch of refinement. Inside, the chafing dish retains its original perforated grate, which allows heat to circulate; the piece is in remarkable condition.
