Karel De Posson, 1889–1960, a Belgian painter of seascapes, landscapes, cityscapes, still lifes, and portraits. He studied under Frans Mortelmans and Jan Willem Rosier at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, his hometown.

His work is minimalist yet allows light to shine through, evoking a certain romanticism tinged with melancholy.
