Louise Alix studio sale stamp on the reverse.Born in Paris in 1888, Louise Alix, a painter of landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, studied under Yvonne Delattre and Henri Zo. She exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français between 1926 and 1941, received a citation in 1928, the Bernheim de Villiers prize in 1933, and the silver medal for applied arts in 1935. She also exhibited her works at the Salon des Indépendants.
