Cloche, Signed "da Nihon Genryusai Seiya Zo" – From The 1800s
A Japanese bronze bell with a rich brown patina, resting on the figure of a Oni standing upright, supporting the entire piece with strength and character. It is presented on an elegant, finely carved wooden pedestal, adorned with elephant protomes and the mon of the prestigious Tokugawa clan, lending the piece great decorative quality.
A stamp on the reverse bears the inscription: “Da Nihon Genryusai Seiya zo”, attesting to its Japanese origin.
Note: there is a slight dent on the bell, which does not affect the overall aesthetic quality of the piece.
