Created by the artist R. Miandres during the Art Deco period (1910–1939) in the early 20th century, this sculpture combines polychrome regule with a base of marble, onyx, and agate.

The quintessence of Art Deco, its geometric design is evident in the rectangular base, topped by a regule group depicting a noblewoman accompanied by her greyhound—a symbol of nobility and loyalty—also in a geometric pose. This type of sculpture was typically placed on a chest of drawers or a marble mantelpiece.

In very good overall condition; please note a slight chip on the right corner of the base, which is very discreet. This sculpture is signed “R. Miandres” on the right, engraved on the top of the black border!
