"Large Polychrome Plaster Statue Of The Virgin Of The Immaculate Conception, Sacred Art, Late 19th Century"
Large statue of the Virgin Immaculate Conception polychrome plaster late nineteenth

Celebrate your faith under the protection of the Virgin Mary during the Immaculate Conception!

Depicted in a baroque form with naive features from the popular religious art of Spain at the end of the 19th century, this statue of the Virgin in polychrome plaster is of astonishing quality and extremely detailed, with a hair and a draped motile, his prayerful posture and his gaze raised to the sky with dilated pupils is representative of the devotion of the Immaculate Conception or the Virgin of the Apocalypse.

In prayer on a cloud, symbol of purity and divine election, the Virgin is clothed with the sun (orange), hope (green) and eternity (blue). Her facial expression is like ecstasy, the moment when she saw God and joined her hands in prayer, for humanity. Standing on a crescent moon, she is accompanied by cherub angels, as depicted in the Immaculate Conception of Murillo, a 17th century Spanish artist.

This statue is much more than an object of devotion, it is a true work of art from the popular & traditional Christian Spanish craftsmanship of the late nineteenth century, the Virgin in prayer, standing on a crescent moon and surrounded by angels, its red-brown base with baroque feet.. It is a true passionate ode to the life of the Virgin and to Christianity, in very good general condition.

Passionate about Spanish religious crafts from the end of the 19th century and the representation of the Immaculate Conception, don’t hesitate any more, and adopt this sculpture in polychrome plaster of the Virgin today!
