19th-century Bronze Statuette
A depiction of Silenus, known for his ugliness, his potbelly, and his penchant for drunkenness. He holds a wreath and a snake in his hand. This statuette is mounted on a white marble pedestal in the form of a piedouche. A wax seal bearing a coat of arms lies between his feet. This statuette is one of the souvenirs brought back from the Grand Tour. Beautiful patina
