Porcelain vase with polychrome decoration in the “Famille Rose” style, depicting a scene of scholars and children in a tree-lined garden.
Beautifully crafted: finely rendered faces, a vivid color palette, and a balanced composition. The neck features an elegant floral design. The base bears an apocryphal mark reading “Qianlong nian zhi,” characteristic of pieces from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period. This mark, borrowed from 18th-century imperial productions, was widely used during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period to emphasize a stylistic connection to models from the Qianlong reign. It therefore does not indicate an imperial origin, but is entirely consistent with the practices of workshops active between 1880 and 1920.

In perfect condition, with no visible restoration or cracks. China, circa 1880–1920.
