Remarkable sandstone sculpture representing a shepherd, resting on an oak base, with a warm and natural patina. The model was created in 1906, produced by the famous Manufacture de Sèvres, as evidenced by the stamped Sèvres dated 1922. The work has a triple signature of "D. Vincent", a sculptor whose sensitivity and rigor of execution are reflected in the expressive modeling of the subject. Two other stamps of the Sèvres manufacture reinforce the authenticity and prestigious provenance of the piece. Numbered 3R, this sculpture of historical prestige is distinguished by its rarity, the quality of its execution, and its direct link with the art workshops of Sèvres at the beginning of the 20th century. Excellent condition - no restoration, cracks, or chips to report. Signatures and stamps clearly legible.
