Finely carved ivory GUANYIN statuette, representing a goddess of spring, her chignon adorned with a phoenix, a rosebush and peony in her right hand and a fan in her left hand. The folds of the garment and the floral motifs reveal meticulous attention to detail. Rests on a finely carved wooden base. Excellent condition. No losses or cracks to report. The petals and floral elements as well as the statuette's fingers are all intact and original. The whole shows remarkable integrity in every detail.

Ivory predating 1947 and compliant with current legislation.
