Miniature on Ivory, 19th century. Gouache on ivory. Portrait of a seated lady, wearing an elegant gray dress with a white collar, finely executed on ivory under original glass. Gilt wood frame and oval gilt brass rim. On the reverse, a handwritten inscription in ink, in an old script, mentions: "Mrs. Louis Dubois, née Émilie Rocco (1823–1854), sister of Sophie Rocco, wife of Eugène Tueffet." Dimensions 15cm x15cm (5.91 inches). Dimensions of the oval portrait: 7cm wide (2.76 inches) and 9cm high (3.54 inches). Perfect condition.
