Samurai mask Ressei Menpo, EDO period
Facial sabiji menpo in an angry grimace ressei bó, Edo period (1603 - 1868)
in the me no shita bó design in the usual variant with a removable nose, very good patina, on the cheek part there are pronounced shiwa wrinkles and profiled yadome plates, "arrow stoppers", five-piece yodare kake in black with decorative mimi ito lacing, the reverse side is gilded. The inner part of the mask is varnished in the conventional way with red varnish, the exposed teeth are silver.
The mask has a good expression and is very well preserved.
